When I initially called for an appointment, I was bowled over by the wonderfully cheerful and helpful member of staff who took my call. I felt like they went out of their way to help me. When I went to the salon for my appointment, I was greeted by similarly high levels of customer service. It wasn't that you got anything more than you get at other salons (the tea was very well presented though), more that the staff make you feel really welcome and seem like they are willing to go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The stylist who styled my hair was very professional and gave me a thorough consultation beforehand (the most thorough I have had), therefore I was very happy with my hairstyle and very impressed with the level of technical expertise the stylist showed. When I paid, I found out that he was one of the top stylists and usually costs £56. I, however, got my cut for £20 through the salon's last minute booking scheme - a complete bargain for those who don't need a specific appointment. Their website has more details about this offer.I usually dread the forced chit-chat when you go to the hairdressers, but the atmosphere in the salon was so relaxed, that I didn't mind it one bit and even enjoyed it. I will definitely go back. It may even become my regular place.
